Fatehgarh is a category II Cantonment, established in 1870. The Board consists of 14 members, including 7 Elected Members. Total population as per census 2011 was 14786. It is a cantonment town in Farrukhabad district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is located on the right bank of the Ganges River. It is the administrative headquarters of Farrukhabad District. Fatehgarh derives its name from an old fort. It is a small city with no significant industrial activity. The Indian army has a big establishment in the form of Rajput Regiment Center and Sikh Light Infantry Center.
Major Initialives:
School Management Committee (SMC) have been constituted. The Board has approved an imprest amounting to Rs.1000/- to each school for petty expenses. Classes from Ist to IIIrd are running on CBSE pattern. Vocational training courses on Computer Basics & embroidery (zari work) etc. are running in the school premises. Music, sport & yoga/PT classes are also running.
