On PDDE instructions “SAMADHAN” scheme has been implemented in Jabalpur Cantonment Board from 29/08/2011.For the same, a separate unit handled by call/computer operator has been setup with dedicated telephone line and Internet connection. Initially water supply, street light and sanitation services have been taken up. The scheme has been duly advertised through notice boards, pamphlets, media and ward members. Board staff and section heads have been sensitized to respond promptly. The complaints and their redressal are acknowledged telephonically, and after initial hiccups, now also through SMS by using “WAY2SMS.com” The response has been positive. Till date 15 complaints have been received of which 9 have been resolved and rest too in given time frame. Shortly, host of other services related to Cattle nuisance, Road, street/petty repairs, Tax bills, Hospital and school too shall be added under its ambit, so that more and more people get their grievance redressed.
